Bespoke joinery for The Mill

The Mill
Architect: Hosker Moore Kent Melia
Location: London W1
Contract Duration: On going

The Mill is a global brand creating visual effects for some of the largest productions and advertisers and PCL were entrusted with the fit out of various editing suites within 40-41 Great Marlborough street, including office suites on the 3rd and 4th floors, main reception refurbishment and fabricating the showcase which houses the oscar won for special effects on the film, Gladiator.

When The Mill acquired the adjacent buildings PCL connected the two on all four floors involving temporary support, breaking through 1m thick walls, providing structural support, lacquered reveal panels and 60 min fire rated doorsets linked into the fire system. Careful management of the building services was required with close collaboration between our engineers and the Mill's to ensure no interruption to their day to day business.

Our work was completed at The Mill with the final and largest breakthrough to the adjacenet building on the ground floor providing cabinetry, walnut breakthrough linings, doorsets, and decorative finishes to 42-43 Great Marlborough Street.
